Sample Position: Senior Expansion Joint Engineer (Oil & Gas & Power Sector)

This position will be responsible to lead a team together with the Project and Engineering and Fabrication Teams in the development and execution of existing and upcoming company projects, specifically in the Expansion Joint (sometimes also referred to as Expansion Bellows, Hot Connectors or Hot Compensators) design, fabrication and installation segment.

The candidate would ideally have experience in some or most of the areas below:

• Familiar with Fabric based Hot and/or Abrasive Expansion joint systems
• Familiar with most conventional Expansion Joint fabrication systems and materials
• Has experience in managing site installation teams on projects and/or plant turnarounds

The key tasks of the candidate would be:

• Site scoping and understanding the client’s requirements to enable estimation of materials and manpower schedule together with the project team
• Designing and specifying the expansion joint system required by the customer
• Liasing with customers to generate new leads and opportunities on existing customer sites and new sites
• To constantly stretch knowledge base primarily in Fabric Based Expansion Joint technology by understanding the core products and their applications

Requirements:

• At least 5-10 years prior technical/engineering experience in the Oil & Gas or Power sectors in a similar role
• Experienced in dealing with Fabric based expansion joints or bellows is a requirement
